dan dia itu...

dia itu
lahirnya sebagai salah seorang hamba ilahi
menyertai rombongan khalifah di muka bumi
sucinya diri tatkala menerjah keluar ke dunia
tatkala tangisan diberi
ibu balas dengan penuh sayang
merdu suara mendodoi penuh kelembutan
bersengkang mata menemani tidur
memberi suapan dan susuan
tatkala tangisan diberi
ayah balas dengan penuh kasih
merdu suara melaungkan azan
berhempas pulas masa dan tenaga
mencari rezeri memberi makan

doa dititip dengan harapan tinggi
wahai anak yg dicintai
membesarlah dikau bak mawar berduri
kuberi ilmu agama sunni
belajarlah kamu mencapai pelangi
banggakan ayah ibumu ini
jalani hidupmu bak sang puteri
moga di akhirat kau tampil bagai bidadari

hujani dirimu dgn amal ibadah
lengkapi dirimu akhlak mahmudah
litupi dirimu dengan hijab purdah
kami warnakan dirimu dengan pelbagai sifat
kami bekalkan kamu dengan pelbagai ilmu
kami hiasi permulaanmu dengan pelbagai amalan
buat bekalan perjalananmu yang penuh dugaan

ingatlah wahai anak,

tiada lagi tangan yg memberi panduan
tiada lagi suara yg memberi arahan
kasihan ayah ibu, andai mereka mengetahui
puteri ini bukan lagi puteri
bidadari ini xmungkin lagi bidadari
entah berapa kali dirinya tersalah pilih
entah berapa kali dirinya tersasar arah
entah berapa kali dirinya tersilap langkah

tapi tak siapa yg tahu
betapa terumbang-ambing diri ini
betapa jauh hanyut dari tebing
betapa lemah untuk melawan arah
betapa diri ini pasrah dan berserah

dan dia itu
dewasa sebagai seorang wanita sepi
dalam diri kosong dan sunyi
makin hilang dalam lombong duniawi
makin tenggelam pegangan diri
makin tipis kekuatan hati
dirinya masih lagi terkapai-kapai
lupa tujuan utama ke dunia ini
erti khalifah pun xsepenuhnya dihayati
kejayaan dunia yang dia kejarkan
kajayaan akhirat selalu dia abaikan

namun dia ingin kembali

~insyallah~

power of the BRAIN

nothing is impossible
if you dare to try
sounds familiar? people always say this words, to motivate others or even themselves...its a really powerful saying...but somehow, to what extent does it applies...it depends really...on how much we would put our efforts and waste our energy, or how much time we would spend, or how much money we would give away, just to achieve our goals...and how strong we are to endure several failures that might occur along the way...it takes a lot of guts to make a difference...
today i had 2 papers of anatomy...one is for essay, and another one is for true/false questions...as i finished answering the papers...well, both went on just fine...not very2 well, but better than before (at least)...however, it bothers me that how come i always have problems in memorising all the facts, especially anatomy...memorising here means not only for being able to repeat out the words again and again, but also to be accurate and spontaneously...i wish all were in my head...but thinking back, its not impossible at all...if not, there won't be any lecturers around...they're all like walking gray's or chaurasia...EVERYTHING IS REALLY ALREADY ON THEIR FINGER TIPS...i wish i have their brains...
but wait a minute, why would i wish having their brain instead of my own...i love myself, having a wonderful life and people around me...i never regret growing up like this, and being me...i have my own brain too...the same uncountable billions of neurons...the same amount of lobes (right & left)...the actual capacity of the average human brain is unknown...it's commonly believed that the average person only uses 10% of their actual brain power, but it's fairly certain that anyone can improve their brain power if they choose...memory in particular can be greatly improved...
so what am i frowning about??? one thing we have to remember is not to think about how they have successfully mastered anatomy, but somehow think back on how and what they had been through before to get in this position...i bet they went through hell already...seriously, only the dare-to-die-drying-out-dreadfully dudes will survive and achieve the goals...its really impossible (for normal people), but can be done...
as i browse around the net, i found this articles...hope its useful to all :)
...Here are 10 tips to maximize your brain power...
Keep Learning
It's best to think of the brain like any other muscle. If you don't use it, it becomes weak. For this reason, you should always be learning new things. Whether you learn from reading the newspaper every day or by visiting new museums, the important thing is that your brain is always working to store new information.
Exercise Regularly
Physical exercise plays a significant role in your mental health. It increases the formation of new brain cells, and strengthens the portions of the brain responsible for memory and learning. In short, a fit body is a fit mind.
Interact with Others
Regular social interaction with others can help you keep your brain sharp. In addition to learning new things from other people, just the simple act of dealing with people can keep your brain functioning at a high level. Interacting with others is the same as exercising your brain.
Challenge Your Mind
Experts recommend challenging your mind regularly with puzzles, brain teasers, music, arts and crafts, mathematics, and other stimulating activities. Brain fitness exercises work out your brain, and keep you in top mental health.
Sleep Well
Getting plenty of rest is necessary for both physical and mental health. Your brain simply cannot function properly if you're always running around on 2 hours of sleep. Rest up so that your brain can stay its sharpest.
Reduce Stress
Stress management is crucial to helping you sharpen your mind. If you let your stress run your life, your mind will become weak and overloaded with the stress. Reduce stress as much as possible to sharpen your mind.
Eat Properly
A proper diet does more than help you maintain a nice figure; it also keeps your brain functioning properly. A healthy diet gives your brain the fuel needed to run properly.
Do Something New
If you get stuck following the same routine every day, your brain won't ever be challenged. Do something different for a change. Maybe you can take a different route to work. Or, you could do something minor like change the music you listen to. Just do something to switch things up, and your brain will remain fit.
Sharpen Senses
This is an interesting workout for your brain. Try to sharpen your senses by removing one of them from an activity. For instance, try to eat with your eyes closed. Or, try to brush your teeth with the opposite hand. Little things like this will make you concentrate, sharpening your brain.
Take Supplements
Brain support supplements can help your brain stay in its peak condition. Products like constant focus give your brain the nutrients it needs to remain strong. They also help ward off forgetfulness and other mental conditions.

a flow of thoughts 3

internal ALARM CLOCK
TICK-tock-TICK-tock

its saturday today...and i'm in my room...wuts the plan for today? everything is all in my head right now...lemme check...
1) zohor's prayer...
coz i'm planning to hit the library after this...maybe for a couple of hours...its exam week remember...and no matter how lazy i am today, i've gotta get off my bumps and stay in the library...at least being there made me realize how other people around me are focusing on their study...really...
"owh, he's studying embyology...i bet he already understand the development of baby's heart...oh no, i forgot about the veins...what was the name again??"
*take embryology book for clarification & smile & continue study*
2) delivery lunch...
kinda lazy to go out...weekend means alone...meds students don't really bother whose gonna company who to eat or go out...its not a priority or compulsory...yourself comes 1st...then friends...then others...but i'm kinda fortunate that my friends will always be there, whenever they're needed (syg u guys) and so we'll spend time mostly on weekdays...on weekends? only by coincidence...or emergency...or some prior plans to gather around, like we always do... :) but we don't want to simply destroy other's sweet time on weekend...this is the only time we could have study more...get online more...call fmly more...or even sleep more...precious time :) but haha, being to the library means i'll meet them anyway...balqis, izyan and dzam are the library people...on the way i could stop by at sonia for some cold coffee as always...if i wanted to, i could hang out with faten n ina in sonia too...like i've said, we are always welcome for each other...
*kalau boring2 lepak rumah aza pun boleh, singgah umah ainun dzam pun boleh...2nd house... :D*
3) afternoon shower...
india is still in hot n dry season...huhu...that's 1 of the reasons why i have to go to the library...there's aircond...huh, gotta concentrate...staying in my room here made me sweat like pig...and i shall say i'll only get about 40% out of what i'm reading...huhu...plus there's so much distractions...haha...my sweet2 laptop and my fluffy bed...*yawn*
think tht's all for now...wake up alia! for exam sake, i need to go out!!!
away to library!

only the wise ones will use it to the fullest and have no regrets

get done what's need to be done

get start what's need to be started

so that every seconds ends with SOMETHING

exam corner 2

CRAMPED CRUX CAUSES crankiness

this is the last week of class for this block before we enter the exam week starting this wednesday...as all the other physio and biochem classes had already finished, today we started with a row of anatomy classes ONLY from morning till evening...what a mess...as all the medicos had all known, anatomy is the MOST-MUST-MEMORIZED-MODULE we had ever learnt...and for the record, we'll be having only anatomy class for the wutever left hours of class to finish wutever left topics in the syllabus...oh oh god...help me bear with it...well, as for today, i tried my best to concentrate on the first 4 hours...

the lectures went on smoothly, quietly and peacefully as always...all in all i think i managed to absorb about 70% of the lectures...however, during dissection, i was a lil bit uncomfortable...the loads kept on pouring throughout each corner of the brain cells...i tried to catch wutever i could but somehow mostly were slipping away...especially for the last half hour of the dissection...shall i say i had unconciously spiritually dwell away from the stool i stood but fortunately i gain concious right away...the lecture is just in front of me, gotta be alert somehow in case he ask wutever he had mentioned before...as always...
lecturer: blablabla...."do you understand?"
student: *nodding* "yess..."
lecturer:"what do you understand?"
student: "eeerrr" *gulp*
...and so the student had to repeat back all wutever he had tought before...
note: for this lecturer, the answer must be the exact words he had spoken...if not, he won't be satisfied till you managed to record his own sentences...tiring...*sigh*every master has his own style of teaching...

once i got back to my room, i took my shower (the weather is still HOT+DRY)...and had another cup of sugarless black coffee...and prayed...then, i finally decided to skip the other 3 hours of the next class...well, counted already, the attendance will still be above 90%...i'd rather stay in my room and study on my own...quality time is sometimes needed, rather than forcing myself going to some place my brain can't cope...and so i spent my sweet time studying alone in my room... :)

but to be mentioned here, skipping classes is like doing a sin in melaka manipal college...well, this is how bad i feel...we had to maintain 90% of attendance for the exam sake...which is of course so hard to be maintained...to resist such evil voices in ur mind, asking u to have ur own so-called chilling time rather than going to the boring sessions...IT IS HARD...talking bout LAZINESS...

compared to my previous days at school or even when doing my alevel, i'll just simply skip the class whenever i feel like doing so (i mean during the very2 stressful moments...and of course sometimes during the very2 loud devil's voice whispering in my ear)...but here, its like the biggest commitment to attend the classes...besides, if 1 class is missed, it means that u've missed a lot of useful knowledge which u wouldn't attain later on even when u r studying alone...some facts taught here aren't in books...knowledge also comes from the lecturer's readings, reseaches or experiences...that's how valuable each lecture is...
-hope this is the last time for me to reduce my attendance-
till then, bubye :)

exam corner

And The Fever Begins
today somehow i feel like i have to update this blog...it's been quite sometime since i last posted here...lots of thing had happened...life is getting more and more hectic...now we've already come to the end of block 3...the exam is just around the corner or shall i say its already really2 at the corner? the first day of exam would be on this coming wednesday...though there'll only be 2 practical papers but really, both could be quite tricky...huhu...i wish there's no exam, but what to do...like a lecturer had once said,
"no matter you like it or not, you'll be facing non-stop exam till the end of your life...it's a fact that you can never change"
true...that's why each and every moment counts, and only
bravery+endurance+determination
will be your strengths to lead you along your survival...anyway, enough said...now i've gotta continue my never-end study...with tons of pages and notes to cover up...i hope i'll be ready enough this time...hope the results will be so so much better...and yeah, IT IS GETTING BETTER...lets not waste time now...i wish good luck to all the students who are in the middle of their exams...pray for you all...till then, bubye :)
